  8. The European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS) is a non profit organization founded in 1991 as a pioneering EU project. Since then, ESAVS has grown into a leading institution in advanced veterinary education, offering specialized training programs to veterinarians worldwide.

Online Mendelian Inheritance in Animals (OMIA) is a catalogue/compendium of inherited disorders, other (single-locus) traits, and genes in 253 animal species (other than human and mouse and rats, which have their own resources) authored by Professor Frank Nicholas of the University of Sydney, Australia, with help from many people over the years. OMIA information is stored in a database that contains textual information and references, as well as links to relevant PubMed and Gene records at the NCBI, and to OMIM and Ensembl.
  10. The Brachycephalic Working Group (BWG) comprises leading UK dog welfare organisations, veterinary organisations, universities, breed clubs, The Kennel Club, and government. BWG aims to improve the health and welfare of brachycephalic (flat faced) dogs by working collaboratively as a multi-stakeholder group to reduce the negative impacts from conformation-related health issues on individual dogs as well as also curbing the current trend towards rising demand for dogs with brachycephaly.
